Off‑the‑shelf software pushes your routines into someone else's forms. Sometimes that is fine. Sometimes it costs twenty minutes every day and nobody ever adds it up. Custom software pays off exactly when the routine is already settled and only the right shell is missing.
Lean, without framework ballast. An application meant to still run in five years cannot rest on twenty borrowed parts today, half of which will be gone by then. Wherever personal content is involved, it is encrypted on the device before it reaches the server. The server sees nothing – that is the architecture, not the brochure.
Software does not run in a vacuum. It needs a server, backups, credentials, updates – and someone who knows what happens when one of them is missing.
A language model is a good tool and a poor decision‑maker. So in our projects there is always something in front of it and something behind it: in front, a layer that prepares and leaves out whatever the model does not need – behind it, a rule that has the final say.
The same architecture transfers to your processes: reading and sorting text, triaging requests, drafts a human approves. Where AI would do more harm than good, we say so beforehand.
From the first conversation to the handover.
The problem first, the technology second. Often it turns out that the cheapest solution is not new software at all.
In writing: what gets built, what it costs and what is explicitly not included. That last point prevents most misunderstandings.
After every stage there is something to look at and try out. Changing course in week two is cheaper than in month four.
Source code, credentials and documentation someone else can read. Maintenance afterwards: gladly, but never compulsory.
One workshop has a limit. Naming it here is more honest than discovering it mid‑project.
3D printing and manufacturing are on the list for later. As long as they are not on offer, they are not on this page either.
